CIBC will be hosting this year's Summer Bible Camp (SBC) from 6/23 to 6/27. Summer Bible Camp is for elementary school aged kids. Online registration is available on the church website or at https://forms.gle/eCnazan5nN7mqkqXA We are looking for teachers and helpers in various areas. If interested, please fill out the staff recruitment form at the wooden corner table outside of Room 101 and drop off the form in the CE mailbox. Please email Hazel Lau and Deacon Patrick Lau at if you have any questions.
Recently, members of the church have received emails from supposed church staff members that seem suspicious, maybe asking for money or wanting to connect or asking for information that seem suspicious. If you are unsure, check the email address of the sender and if it is not from an email address ending with "@cibc-oakland.org" then it is a fake or fraud person. We have had a couple of instances of this happening and its possible that an imposter is reaching out to church members for some fraudulent reason.
A website/app has been set up for anyone who would like to help Pastor Tim, Christina and the family during his cancer treatments. If you would like to help, you can sign up at this link: https://link.ianacare.team/nrhYuUXcRQb Everyone should sign up as a "Supporter." Once they are on Pastor Tim's "Team" they will then be able to see requests that come from the Lin Family. Once requests are posted they can sign up to help with that request through their computer or the Ianacare app.
The 2025 FLOWER CALENDAR is available for signup. It is posted on the Church Ministry and Church News bulletin board on the hallway. If you wish to sign up, please use the flower envelopes placed on the wall next to the flower calendar, and designate your date(s) to commemorate someone or something.
The church is planning to install AED defibrillator devices for use in the event that someone has a medical event which would require its use. We are seeking individuals who have received training or certification for AED devices. If you have received training or are certified, please inform Deacon Ken either in person or via email at
We are looking to recruit a pool of drivers to help drive some of the elderly Cantonese and Mandarin members to and from church.
