Weekly Church Update

Week of July 6th, 2025

The 2025 All Church Camp will be held at the Redwood Christian Park Camp near Santa Cruz over the Labor Day weekend, from August 29th to September 1st. Registration will be available this Sunday, during English IBF time, after the Cantonese service in Room 101 and after the Mandarin service in the Fellowship Hall.  Online registration will also be available on the church website or at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeUAZkwFFG8-4zJQUX3h-k_MXyudQlOVgy4_mghKcBtnSFnCg/viewform  Our camp speakers are Pastor Jason Kim – English; Rev. Albert Lam – Cantonese; Rev. Randy Tsang – Mandarin and Pastor Ian Kwon – Youth. This year’s theme will be “God’s Home <---> My Home,” and theme verses are Act 2:42-47.

There will be a Deacon Emeritus Service for Deacon Patrick Lau on Sunday, July 13th.  Lunch will be provided at a nominal cost in the Social Hall at 12:30 pm. The Service will begin at 1:30 pm in the Sanctuary.  For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on our YouTube channel.

The Community Fun Day (Church Open House) will be on Saturday, 8/23 from 10am to 4pm during the Chinatown Streetfest. Please save the date and invite family and friends to join. There will be various children programs, a planting and photo booth, cotton candy making and a health station. FREE snacks and drinks available.

If you are interested in viewing the sharing videos of the missionaries supported by CIBC from the March Missions Conference, please text Jeanette Fong at (510) 432-5196 or email her at    to arrange pickup of the thumb drive. Please also be advised of the following:
1) The videos/PowerPoint slides are only in English. 
2) The thumb drive cannot be copied nor shared with other than the CIBC church family, and it should be returned in one week to allow the thumb drives to be circulated.

The 2025 FLOWER CALENDAR is available for signup. It is posted on the Church Ministry and Church News bulletin board on the hallway. If you wish to sign up, please use the flower envelopes placed on the wall next to the flower calendar, and designate your date(s) to commemorate someone or something.

Children’s Church (1st - 5th grades) 9:15am - 11:00am, Room 313
Note: The Children will participate with the Congregation in the Sanctuary from 9:15am to 9:35am. Between 10:45am and 11:00am, the children will be provided with snacks and have supervised free time. They can be picked up by their parents during this time, or they can remain in the room until their teachers escort them to their Sunday school classrooms at 11:00am.

Parents:  Please be sure to pick up your children promptly at 12:15 PM.

If you need to park in the parking lot right next to our church on 8th St and block other people's cars on Sundays, please remember to give your car key to the parking lot usher or people in charge in Room 101, and provide your name and contact number as well. In addition, please pick up your car key in the parking lot after the Sunday services as soon as possible. If you come late, please find your key in a black box on the wall of Room 101.
