GLU (God, Love, Unity)
GLU is a community of believers who meet together for the purpose of glorifying God by being Christ-like, intentional with one another, and to make Jesus Christ known. (Matthew 22:37-39). Our goal is to grow spiritually through prayer, bible study, and small groups, to build connections and leadership in serving the church family as well as the community, and to share our testimony and the gospel through outreach events,
A typical GLU meeting usually consists of worship through music, a short video followed by small group discussion or a special speaker, and then spending time with one another over snacks! We also have special events like a picnic at the park, an outdoor walk, bowling, and of course, our annual Christmas celebration!
GLU meets on the second Friday of every month from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at CV First (18550 Redwood Road, Castro Valley, CA 94546). We welcome families with children (from newborn to college) and adults whether single or married. There is a GLU kids program specifically for elementary school kids. If you have children younger than 5 years old, we will try to arrange for someone to watch your little one so that you may enjoy fellowship. Advanced notice is much appreciated! If you have middle schoolers or high schoolers, there is a youth program also available at the same time and location.
