Jabez
Jabez Fellowship
We started out 20 years ago with a focus on those in our congregation who were not being served by
other fellowships – primarily older singles, including widows and divorcees. Over time God has led us to
include married couples and people from other congregations and churches. Our namesake, Jabez,
prayed that God would expand his territory. In this spirit, we strive to welcome anyone who desires
fellowship, without setting boundaries.
We are scheduled to meet twice a month by Zoom on the second and fourth Sundays from 2 – 4 PM.
The schedule frequently changes due to conflicts with the church calendar or certain holidays. Our
meetings normally include a time of fellowship, a short study or devotion and ending with a time of
sharing and prayer.
We try to have in-person events at least every other month, which will displace one of the Zoom
meetings for those months. In the recent past we have had outings to Presidio Tunnel Tops, Angel
Island, Lake Chabot, 626 Night Market, and meals at restaurants or in homes. Our in-person events are
open to all and not limited to those who attend our Zoom meetings.
Let us know if you would like to receive the meeting announcements and/or invitations to the in-person
events. For further information, please contact Gilbert Shen at
